Day 46
Millions of Peaches, Peaches for me. Success, I leaped out the window and sprinted the short distance between the igloo and the boxes, now half covered in snow and scratches. Grabbing the nearest two I dashed back to the front door without looking back. The incessant squawking of the last two days had stopped. I moved faster, half carrying, half dragging the heavy crates. From this side the tree was easy to move, especially after I untied the knots that were holding it there. No sign of a stump either. All but jumping through the door I slammed it behind me, doing up the multiple locks from the inside. I sagged back against the door facing into the main room. The suitcase had moved.
